The Teeling Wonders of Wood Single Pot Still Series 2 is a single pot still whiskey that has been aged in Portuguese oak, which gives it a complex and comforting flavor. The whiskey is made with barley grown on the Teeling’s own farm in Ireland, then distilled twice before being matured for 12 years in American and European oak barrels before being bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof).
The tasting notes describe some of the flavors you might expect to find: “Aromas of sweet vanilla, honey and citrus fruits lead into flavors of caramelized sugarcane syrup and roasted coffee beans.”

The Teeling Distillery was founded in Dublin in 2010 by brothers Jack and Stephen Teeling, who had already made their mark on the industry with Cooley Distillery (now Cooley). In 2016 they released their first bottle of single malt whiskey, which won awards at both San Francisco World Spirits Competition and International Wine & Spirits Competition.

Teeling Small Batch Irish Whiskey is a blend of single pot still whiskeys aged in ex-bourbon casks, ex-oloroso sherry casks, and port pipes. The first batch was released in 2018 to much fanfare from whiskey fans worldwide.
The Small Batch Irish Whiskey Series 2 continues the tradition of using 100% malted barley as its base spirit and aging it in four different types of barrels: American ex-bourbon barrels (typically used for bourbon); Portuguese oloroso sherry butts; port pipes; and French wine barriques that previously held Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown on their estate vineyard in County Wexford.
