Boost your Healthy Lifestyle for Health Hygiene

To improve our Health Hygiene of life remains the basis. Indeed, our way of life and our environment have a direct impact on our health. More precisely, some of our genes can be more or less expressed according to our habits and the context in which we live, this is called epigenetics.

A person who eats healthily will have a better chance of not expressing their bad genes than if they stuff themselves with industrial products and fast food.

Healthy Living Lifestyle

According to Health Hygiene, a healthy lifestyle is based on three fundamental pillars: nutrition, physical activity and rest. It also improves freedom from harmful stress, tobacco, alcohol and drugs. During the first delivery in March 2020 for the Coronavirus, numerous studies* have shown that 90% of intensive care patients were overweight or obese (excluding the elderly).

In addition, an unhealthy lifestyle is an important risk factor for health, it can promote:

• Chronic diseases (diabetes, overweight, etc.)

• Cardiovascular diseases (hypertension, stroke, etc.)

• Tumors (oropharyngeal, digestive, pulmonary, hepatic, etc.)

• Stress and its consequences (musculoskeletal disorders, sleep disorders, disturbance

hormonal cycle, etc.)

Various Simple Tips to Improve our Daily Health

  • Food: We can never say it enough, food remains one of the essential pillars of our health. Our food is our medicine, we must realize that everything we eat is part of us. We are what we eat.
  • Fasting: has many advantages. Too often we eat automatically without asking ourselves if we are really hungry or not.
  • Sleep and rest: Ideally, you should sleep an average of 8 hours per night. However, you should know that we are not equal in the amount of sleep we need. Some people need 10 hours, others 5… (Yes, it’s frustrating!)
  • Hydration: we say it very often, we must drink 1.5 liters of water a day (not counting the water in our solid foods). Do not hesitate to increase this quantity in case of strong heat or if you exert yourself a lot. The sun: do not hesitate to tan at least 15 minutes a day to fill up with vitamin D, especially in winter when there is no sun! Spend time in nature, live in the open air: to breathe clean air and oxygenate your whole body.
  • Meditate: the benefits of meditation are no longer to be proven, numerous studies validate its benefits. Do not hesitate to practice it. Even 5 minutes a day is enough to feel the benefits! Just get started, and it requires no equipment and can be done anywhere (public transport, queues, etc.).
  • Stop for a moment before going to eat. Drink a glass of water then take a deep breath and ask yourself the question: “Am I really hungry?” before embarking on your plate.
  • There are different types of fasting including 16/8 intermittent fasting which has a 16-hour time slot when no food is consumed and an 8-hour time slot when food is allowed.
  • Intermittent fasting has many benefits. However, consider talking to your doctor first to avoid any risk depending on your state of health.

If you don’t sleep well at night, feel free to take naps during the day! They have many advantages. Be careful not to take long naps, 15 to 20 minutes are enough to have benefits. Beyond that, you risk tiring yourself even more and hurting your future night.

Practice a Physical Activity

  • The effects are no longer to be proven. Physical activity and sport have many benefits on general health, on the mind and are an excellent way to develop personally.
  • On general health: sport can provide general well-being, increase muscle and bone mass, improve joint mobility, breathing, sleep, the cardiovascular system, the immune system, etc.
  • On the mind: increases intelligence, concentration, memory, reduces stress, anxiety, depression and painful sensations among others.
  • On personal development: sport increases self-esteem, helps to create social ties, increases self-confidence, promotes team spirit, instils values applicable in all areas of our lives (respect, sharing, patience, perseverance, discipline, taste for effort, etc.)
  • However, practicing a sport or physical activity for 30 minutes is not enough to fight sedentary lifestyle, because you can very well be totally sedentary the rest of the day. The ideal is to combine this with an active lifestyle where you can move often.

Absorption Costing MCQs with Answers Explanation Engineering ECE

What Is Absorption Costing?

Absorption costing, also known as the all-encompassing, all-inclusive, or comprehensive costing method, is a sophisticated and perplexing managerial accounting framework that attempts to incorporate all expenses that are linked to the production of a particular product. This method is highly intricate and involves a copious amount of calculations and analyses to arrive at the total cost of production.

Every minuscule expense, whether direct or indirect, such as raw materials, labor, rent, utilities, depreciation, maintenance, insurance, and every other associated cost, is taken into account to determine the total cost of the product. The complexity of this method is staggering, and it requires extensive knowledge of accounting principles, an understanding of manufacturing processes, and advanced analytical skills to execute.

However, despite its complexity, absorption costing is still widely used in the industry due to its comprehensive approach to providing an accurate picture of the cost of production. Moreover, under the generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) in the United States, absorption costing is an approved method for external reporting. In contrast, variable costing is prohibited, adding to the confusion and perplexity surrounding this topic.

Which of the following costs would NOT be included in the cost of goods sold calculation under absorption costing?

a) Direct materials
b) Direct labor
c) Variable manufacturing overhead
d) Fixed manufacturing overhead
Answer: c) Variable manufacturing overhead

Explanation: Under absorption costing, both fixed and variable manufacturing overhead costs are included in the cost of goods sold calculation. Direct materials and direct labor costs are also included.

When production exceeds sales, absorption costing will result in:

a) Higher net income than variable costing
b) Lower net income than variable costing
c) The same net income as variable costing
d) None of the above
Answer: a) Higher net income than variable costing

Explanation: When production exceeds sales, there will be more fixed manufacturing overhead costs that are absorbed into the cost of goods sold calculation under absorption costing. This results in a higher net income compared to variable costing, which only includes variable manufacturing costs in the cost of goods sold calculation.

Which of the following statements is true about absorption costing?

a) It is used for external reporting purposes
b) It is used for internal decision-making purposes
c) It is the same as variable costing
d) None of the above
Answer: a) It is used for external reporting purposes

Explanation: Absorption costing is required for external financial reporting purposes, such as on the income statement and in financial statements. Variable costing, on the other hand, is often used for internal decision-making purposes.

In a period of increasing production and sales, absorption costing will result in:

a) Higher net income than variable costing
b) Lower net income than variable costing
c) The same net income as variable costing
d) None of the above
Answer: c) The same net income as variable costing

Explanation: When production and sales increase, absorption costing and variable costing will result in the same net income. This is because there will be fewer fixed manufacturing overhead costs per unit under absorption costing, but there will also be more units sold.
