Buying iPhone 14 Pro Max As good as an iPhone 14 Pro

Apple has been creating “Pro” iPhones since 2019’s iPhone 11 series, but it wasn’t until this year’s buy iPhone 14 Pro did it genuinely develop a meaningful distinction between the Pro and non-Pro iPhones. Part of this differentiation is due to genuine innovation: the iPhone 14 Pro Max and Pro introduce an entirely new user interface that has spurred conversation throughout the tech industry over the past couple of weeks, and will very likely inspire widespread changes to Android phones’ UI in the near future. The Pro iPhones also feature the most pixel-dense camera ever an iPhone, one that opens up a new optical zoom length and boosts the ceiling for what professionals can achieve in terms of photo processing.

The second distinguishing aspect, however, is due to cut-throat business tactics: Apple elected to recycle last year’s silicon for the base iPhone 14 devices, so only the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max received the new A16 Bionic chip.

These upgrades should make the Pro iPhones more popular than in prior years, and the good news for users is, Apple has generally delivered on the hype. I’ve been using the iPhone 14 Pro Max for eight days, and this is clearly the finest iPhone Apple has released in a while and the one most appropriate of the “Pro” label. The important question for me, however, is if it improves enough to persuade me of my passion for Android and foldable phones.

By the way: other than the screen and battery capacity, both the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are identical. Hence even though I have only tested the 14 Pro Max, most of my rating applies to the smaller iPhone 14 Pro likewise.

Apple has unveiled a total of four new iPhones this year iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 Plus is an altogether new product that’s here instead of a “Mini” version, while the other of the three iPhones are basically simply an updated version of what we previously had on the market. Even out of the three phones, only the “Pro” variants make large and noteworthy advancements over last year’s iPhone 13 Pro smartphones.

The iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Plus are basically the same phones in two different sizes. Similarly, the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max are both made from the same fabric, but one is larger than the other. There’s not a lot of change whether you move from an iPhone 14 to an iPhone 14 Plus or from an iPhone 14 Pro to an iPhone 14 Pro Max. Yet, the iPhone 14 to an iPhone 14 Pro is a substantial jump, both in terms of functionality and price. Similarly, moving from an iPhone 14 Plus to an iPhone 14 Pro Max will be a considerable jump in terms of experience, even though they practically have the same physical proportions overall.

Difference between the regular and Pro series of iPhone 14:

  • Newest chip on the Pro
  • Varying construction materials for chassis: aluminum on standard versus stainless steel on Pro
  • Higher 120Hz refresh rate on Pro
  • Greater outdoor peak brightness on Pro
  • Always On Show on Pro
  • New notch design and accompanying software functionality on Pro
  • More storage choices on Pro
  • Increased Megapixel count main camera on Pro
  • An extra third camera on Pro, handling telephoto \sNight Portraits, ProRaw, and Macro are Pro-exclusive camera capabilities
  • LiDAR Scanner on Pro
