Other top-paying physicians included cardiologists, internists, pulmonologists, and urologists. General surgeons jobs in healthcare were ranked sixth, earning an average of $296,000. These were the most-paid doctors.
There were many different types of medical specialties. Some of them made more than others. According to Payscale, neurosurgeons earned an average of $421,000 per year as of March 2023. Orthopedic surgeons earned an average of $372,500. Cardiologists, internists, and pulmonologists also earned more than their counterparts. Anesthesiologists earned the third-highest salary, making an average of $322,980. Radiologists earned an average of $306,140.
